"Following the course X and I travelled back and we had the first "real human conversation" we have ever shared in the 23 years we've known each other.

Your approach was far more encouraging and positive than any course I have ever attended. You will note that I normally 'attend' courses, but with yours I'd say I along with the other 11 people were involved. I don't know how to tell you this effectively, but you radiate energy in teaching & coaching because you gained our attention from the start and kept it until the end, pretty damn amazing I'd say!

You made me personally feel involved, encouraged and highly motivated and that was replicated in everyone's face around that table. I wrote on the feedback form that your subject knowledge was a true benefit to the course. This was somewhat of an understatement, you give off this enthusiasm due to the fact you know the subject, you have lived it and you passionately believe in it, it is clear you are genuinely interested in what you do.

I also found my self-confidence returning, even on day two I found myself coaching X about "looking people in the eyes when talking to them, to show them you're being sincere and to keep their attention"; X took it on board and he used it bless him, in all the practical exercises after that, and in his final presentation.

You have inspired me, yes inspired is definitely the right word, thank you! You have made a difference and I will put into practise what you have taught me. Now I understand that WE (the team) must improve, and it's my goal to coach them via both pull and push methods. I will also aim to ask myself and the others the 11 key questions regularly (simple but effective, quick and free!) You have made me determined to succeed in this.

I am also going to change my "McGregor X programming". I had a bad habit of giving certain people one chance or no chance, but I'm now going to challenge myself first and not them. That will be tough initially but will be my foundation for future progress, and it will be measurable! Thank you for your calming, challenging, motivating and encouraging approach".
