THE 3D LEADERSHIP CONSULTANCY MODEL©
commercially focussed leadership development
3D - Demonstrating Business Impact
This should always be agreed at the beginning of any leadership intervention at the 1D Diagnostics phase. On each assignment we work with our clients to agree the key areas to be reviewed in this phase. We like to use hard, tangible measures to determine if:
- a change is possible
- a change has taken place
- that change has had a demonstrable, positive impact on the business
We help our clients carefully evaluate what the development initiative is designed to achieve and from that establish success criteria. Some of these may include:
- Increased sales, revenue or profit
- Increased quality standards or customer satisfaction
- Increased staff effectiveness and retention
We have found that each organisation is different in the measures that it wishes to take, depending on its situation and the pressing business priorities, so we have included two examples from assignments we have completed.

3D Demonstrating Business Impact
Stage 3 identifies and demonstrates the positive business impact the coaching and development workshops have at different levels within the organisation.
- Identifying clear business goals and existing base line requirements
- Assessing the individual coachee’s learning and behaviour change
- Establishing transfer of these positive changes back to the workplace
- Demonstrating impact on the original baselines and overall business benefits
